Did you know that the first ever recording of crystals and crystal healing was from the Ancient Sumerians?

Sumer is the earliest known civilisation in southern Mesopotamia and one of the first civilisations in the world along with that of Ancient Egypt and Ancient China.

If you‘re like me and have an interest in the alternative of how we came to be and to things that can’t be explained, then you have come to the right place. Now, it is theorised that the gods that the ancient Sumerians idolised actually came from another planet and showed them how to make things like the wheel and to document things.

As I mentioned before the ancient Sumerians (c. 4500 to c. 2000BC) was the first documented people to use crystals. They used crystals in many different ways. They was used for pottery, jewellery and was used in magical formulas.

Writing was found to state the energy crystals have and how they can help. If there was any negative energies they would also have what crystals could counteract the negative energies.

Many of the crystals that was used was carnelian and lapis lazuli.

The Sumerians created one of the earliest trade networks on land and sea and used this as a way to get the things they wanted. They would even travel as far as Afghanistan to get the lapis lazuli they desired.
